VastPark P2P Closed Beta

After a number of internal tests working closely with the guys from NICTA we’re now ready to begin accepting registrations for the closed beta of the VastPark P2P networking code.

We plan to run a number of multi-user tests over the next few months, so be quick to register and get in on the action!

Visit the P2P Closed Beta registration page here.

Cool, just been reading papers from some of the NICTA research.

This is really exciting, will the code be open source like the Vast server?

Hi Mike,

We haven’t made any decision regarding the open-sourcing of the p2p network code just yet.

Hi Mike, NICTA own the code base and they aren’t yet looking at open source solutions. This might be possible once it has moved outside of NICTA which will eventually occur.

Hi, that’s good to know,
Test programs like this will still advance and demonstrate the methods even if it remains proprietary.
By making the code open source, many others could help test it, and speed adoption.
Either way, I’m very much looking forward to seeing this technology in action!
Thanks
