The Player is the software every user needs. It enables you to participate in any virtual environment built upon the VastPark framework. It was listed under the codename Imp during the Alpha preview and rolls our VastPark Browser and Viewer software into one application.
VastPark Player is designed to be easy to use and will always be free to download and use. The Player is based on our open source client application codebase which is available for download.

The Creator is a WYSIWYG 3D scene layout and XML editor that is used to create virtual environments, games, immersive elearning, training and multiuser meeting spaces. Supports easy access to 3D content uploaded by the VastPark Publisher, streaming media and more. If you just want to view a .park or .imml file and see what others have built with VastPark, you probably only need the player.

VastPark Server contains the server-side functions required to host .imml files and manage multi-user connectivity amongst connected clients. Each VastPark Server is capable of hosting an unlimited number of fully self-contained Parks, with the only constraint being system hardware and internet bandwidth.

Beware these are not regarded as stable releases and so are not recommended for novice users. We recommend advanced users, experienced developers and early adopters all use the latest builds where practical as these are being updated frequently.
Licensing
You can use both the Player and the Server for whatever purpose under either their binary release licenses (based on the Mozilla Firefox EULA) or by downloading and using the GPL open source code base.
You can use both the Creator and Publisher tools for whatever purpose according to their binary release licenses (based on the Mozilla Firefox EULA but with an organizational user limit). Contact us for licensing the Creator and Publisher tools for the following use: Organizations (including Educational, Corporate and Defense) with more than 5 design toolset users.
